Born in Queens and raised on Long Island, Jim moved to L.A. after graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

He earned some of his earliest writing credits with several episodes of the Rick Springfield syndicated series, "HIGH TIDE."  Around the same time his action screenplay, "THE HARDLINE," was optioned by Pandora Cinema.

From there, he became a Creator and Co-Producer of the live-action, "MOWGLI: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF THE JUNGLE BOOK," for the Fox Kids Network, which was followed by the syndicated family drama, "BORN FREE," where he served as Writer and Story Editor.

Next up, he wrote and Co-Produced the Touchstone Television movie, "THE EXTREME TEAM," for Warren Miller Pictures and Mandalay Entertainment, starring Chris Pratt, Eric Mabius, and Clarence Williams III.

Expanding into animation, Jim wrote for two seasons of “GORMITI: THE LORDS OF NATURE RETURN,” which aired on The Cartoon Network,
“THE ADVENTURES OF CHUCK AND FRIENDS” for The Hub, “LOLIROCK” for Marathon Media and Netflix, “KUU KUU HARAJUKU” for Nickelodeon and Australia’s Network Ten, and "THE STINKY & DIRTY SHOW" for Amazon Prime Video.

He's still a Mets and Knicks fan, and most of his schedule is arranged around walking his dog.
