Charlie Kirchoff wins Hugo Award

Blowback Colorist, Charlie Kirchoff was part of the team that won Best Graphic Story or Comic at the annual Hugo Awards, held August 16th at the Seattle Worldcon.

The winning book was Star Trek: Lower Decks: Warp Your Own Way from IDW Publishing.

The interactive project was written by Ryan North, with art by Chris Fenoglio, colors by Kirchoff, letters by Jeff Eckleberry and edited by Heather Antos.

The Hugo Awards, first presented in 1953 and presented annually since 1955, are science fiction’s most prestigious award. The Hugo Awards are voted on by members of the World Science Fiction Convention (“Worldcon”), which is also responsible for administering them.
